The products of MCL pass through round-the-clock stringent quality controls standards of both the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and International specifications.

Mombasa Cement Ltd. (MCL) was founded in the year 2007 to cater to the building construction segment as one of the top quality cement manufacturers in the East African Community and beyond.
The firm installed the mother plant at Vipingo, Kilifi County for clinkerization with a 1.0 million metric tonnes capacity per annum and a cement grinding plant with an annual capacity of 2 million metric tonnes outside Nairobi at Athi River, Machakos County.
In 2019, Mombasa Cement Ltd. (MCL) expanded the clinker capacity to 2.6 million metric tonnes and added a cement grinding plant at Vipingo
Further plans to expand Mombasa Cement’s annual capacity are currently on-going.
